In a house with three boys and one girl, there’s bound to be some crossing of gender social norms. In the last week we’ve had a few.
I walked past our white board which is home to Audra’s magnetic paper dolls. She loves to stand there playing with them and dressing them. Made me chuckle to see that her 5 year old brother had decided to “play” as well. Drawing his own person and then dressing it, complete with an upside down duck on the head.
And while in St. George, I begged Audra to wear a bow in her hair. She refused. So we figured if she wouldn’t wear it, someone should. (it’s actually totally appropriate as most strangers think Eli is a girl – why, I don’t know).
It’s good to appreciate the opposite gender and we’re proving that right here!
