As Dave and I were dozing off last night, we heard a whimper from the 3 year old.  She had spent the day throwing up, so we were quick to respond.

Dave entered her room and found her sitting up in bed, crying.  This is how the conversation went:

A:  Daddy, my light is going to kill me (referring to her night light).
D:  No, it’s not going to kill you.
A:  Yes, Daddy my light is going to kill me.
D:  Do you want me to turn it off?
A:  Yes!
{Dave turns the night light off}
A:  Daddy, it’s too dark!!
D:  Should I turn it back on?
A:  Yes!
{The nightlight is turned back on and she goes back to sleep}

Such is life with a 3-year-old.  Nothing makes sense and it feels like walking on eggshells a lot 🙂
