Most people cannot say their Christmas morning started off with a bang, but ours sure did.  Well, a beep to be exact  ..  the smoke alarm beep!  Yip, it was fantastic.   I decided to double my breakfast morning pull-aparts this year.  So I had two pans of those, plus a breakfast casserole in the oven.  The rolls had risen a bunch overnight and their delicious juice overflowed all over the oven, causing a large pillar of smoke and thus went the smoke alarm.  Whew!  It was exciting.  Luckily, and because of dave’s quick help, everything turned out and we had a breakfast to eat!We were lucky enough to have my family come over first thing in the morning to be with us opening presents.  It was a long, but fun morning.  Everyone had fun!  It doesn’t matter what we got and I’m not going to list the items here….who cares?  But what does matter is that we were all together and enjoying it!

Pictures are worth a thousand words right?  Dave took enough to keep us going for hours, but here are just a few highlights!   These are for the family who could not be with us, including Ali who was chatting it up with her missionary!

Finally up! Conner was the last person to wake up, everyone else was at our house waiting for him :-)!

  1. Happy Holidays! Glad it was a wonderful day for you! Your family is darling. So sad we weren’t at the family party this year so see everyone.
By the way, I made your cookie dough truffles for a cookie exchange and they were a huge hit! Your recipe is spreading through So. CA now 🙂
(I woke up to barely risen pull apart rolls–I had to help them along in a warm oven !)
